Bring Sommeil into ChatGPT.
- 01
Enable Developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login, then turn on Developer mode. If the option is unavailable, your workspace administrator may need to allow it.
- 02
Create the Sommeil plugin
Open Settings → Plugins, select the plus button, and create a developer-mode app with these details:
- Name
- Sommeil Sleep
- Description
- Private, read-only sleep summaries, patterns, and next-sleep estimates.
- MCP server URL
https://sleep.arbibe.dev/mcp
- 03
Approve read-only access
ChatGPT will open Sommeil’s Google sign-in and consent screen. Use the same Google account you use for Sommeil and approve the
sleep:readpermission. - 04
Ask about sleep
Start a new chat, choose Sommeil Sleep from the composer’s plugin list, and try:
“Using Sommeil, explain the last seven days and estimate the next sleep window.”
Private connectionOAuth protects access, and every exposed tool is read-only.
No API keyChatGPT supplies the model through your ChatGPT account.
You stay in controlRemove the plugin from ChatGPT whenever you want.
What the plugin can access
Sommeil exposes three purpose-built, read-only tools:
get_sleep_summaryreturns 1–30 days of daily totals, averages, nap counts, patterns, and prediction confidence.get_next_sleep_predictionreturns the current sleep state and a personalized next-sleep estimate.get_daily_briefingreturns an evidence-bound daily briefing with a safety caution.
What stays private
Tool responses exclude names, email addresses, caregiver addresses, notes, exact birth dates, session IDs, and raw session records. ChatGPT receives a result only when you add the Sommeil plugin to a conversation and ask it to use a tool.
Disconnect or reconnect
Remove Sommeil from ChatGPT’s Plugins settings to disconnect it. If tools change after an update, open the plugin in Settings → Plugins, choose Refresh, and start a new conversation.
Troubleshooting
- Developer mode is missing: your ChatGPT workspace may not allow developer-mode apps.
- Access denied: sign in with the Google account that owns or has caregiver access to the Sommeil profile.
- Tools do not appear: refresh the plugin metadata, then open a new chat and select Sommeil from the composer.
